Andruss: Mexico’s Tech-House Maverick
Andrés Manzano Rubio, better known by his stage name Andruss, is a rising Mexican DJ and producer whose energetic fusion of house, tech-house, and techno is quickly making waves on the global dance scene. Born in Yucatán, he began his musical journey in 2004 and has since developed a signature sound that combines driving grooves with Latin-inflected rhythms.
His 2022 track “El Apagón (Edit)” earned widespread acclaim and support from major artists including The Martinez Brothers, Diplo, Zedd, Dennis Cruz, and more. Another standout is “Pegao”, a fiery collaboration with Cloonee released on Helix Records that showcases his flair for infectious grooves and hooky melodic lines. In 2023, he further expanded his reach with “Tranquilao” via Cloonee’s Hellbent Records, blending vibrant percussion and rolling bass.
Andruss also made a strong impression on STMPD RCRDS with his Latin-charged single “Mamaera” (feat. Fatboi), reinforcing his reputation for fusing soulful rhythm with club-ready energy.
His tracks have charted high, with the Insomniac profile noting he reached #5 on Beatport, and he has earned backing from stars like Jamie Jones, The Martinez Brothers, Tiësto, Alesso, and more. Live, Andruss has performed at major festivals including Ultra Music Miami, Lollapalooza Brasil, and EDC Las Vegas.
Beyond his work as an artist, Andruss co-founded Drop Low Records—a label dedicated to uplifting new talent in the underground house scene. With infectious grooves, major DJ support, and global performances, Andruss continues to define the next generation of Latin-inflected tech-house.
