Matheus Zerbini Massa (born December 25, 1997, in São Paulo, Brazil), professionally known as Zerb, is a Brazilian DJ and producer celebrated for his blend of electronic, deep‑house, tropical and afro‑house styles. Starting at age 14, Zerb taught himself guitar, drums and piano before diving into electronic music influenced by Skrillex and Deadmau5.
Zerb first captured attention with a remix of Zhu’s “Faded” alongside Vintage Culture in 2015—a pivotal breakthrough that led to gigs at Lollapalooza Brazil (2016) and Rock in Rio (2017), managed by Entourage. Other early work included pop‑tropical singles like “With You” (2018), which reached #9 on Spotify’s viral chart, and “Wherever U Wanna Go” (2019) with Sandeville, Duncan and Júlia Gomes.
His global breakthrough came with “Mwaki” (2023), featuring Kenyan singer Sofiya Nzau singing in Kikuyu. The track soared to #1 on Spotify’s Global Viral Chart, earned platinum certification in Italy, and ranked #2 on global Shazam charts for weeks, inspiring over 100,000 user‑generated TikToks. In 2024, Zerb collaborated with The Chainsmokers and singer Ink on “Addicted,” which became the #1 record on U.S. dance radio; he also remixed Coldplay’s “Feels Like I’m Falling in Love.”
Zerb has earned two‑time platinum sales for “Mwaki” and earned support from icons like Martin Garrix, Tiësto, Oliver Heldens, Vintage Culture and more. His originals have appeared on labels including Spinnin’ Records, Armada, Warner Music and Universal Music.
Zerb has performed at major festivals across Brazil and Europe, delivering sets at Lollapalooza, Rock in Rio, Tomorrowland, Parookaville and Ushuaïa Ibiza.
