Zeds Dead: Bass Music Pioneers Redefining the Scene

Zeds Dead, the Canadian DJ and production duo of Dylan “DC” Mamid and Zachary “Hooks” Rapp-Rovan, have become one of the most influential names in electronic music. Blending dubstep, drum and bass, house, and hip-hop influences, their genre-defying sound has earned them a loyal global fanbase.

Emerging in the late 2000s, Zeds Dead quickly made waves with their early hits like “White Satin” and “Rude Boy” before breaking into the mainstream with “Collapse” (feat. Memorecks) and the massive “Eyes on Fire” (Zeds Dead Remix). Their debut album, Northern Lights (2016), featured collaborations with Diplo, Pusha T, NGHTMRE, and Twin Shadow, further showcasing their versatility.

Beyond their own productions, Zeds Dead launched Deadbeats, a record label and event brand that has become a major platform for bass music artists. Their Deadbeats Tour has sold out venues worldwide, while their high-energy festival performances at EDC, Ultra, and Tomorrowland continue to cement their legacy.
