Let’s meetup for Phantogram!
Phantogram: Sonic Architects of Dreamy Darkness
Phantogram, the genre-defying duo of Sarah Barthel and Josh Carter from Saratoga Springs, New York, has captivated global audiences with their signature blend of electronic rock, trip-hop, and dream pop. Emerging in 2009 with their breakout EP Eyelid Movies, they quickly gained traction with standout tracks like “When I’m Small” and “Mouthful of Diamonds”, both of which became underground hits and set the stage for a remarkable rise.
Their sophomore album, Voices (2014), propelled them further into the mainstream with the explosive single “Fall in Love”, which charted on Billboard’s Alternative Songs chart and showcased their ability to merge brooding textures with infectious hooks. Their 2016 album, Three, delivered another smash with “You Don’t Get Me High Anymore”, co-produced by Ricky Reed and praised for its gritty, industrial edge.
Phantogram has collaborated with major artists including Big Boi of OutKast (as part of the Big Grams project) and Miley Cyrus, further expanding their creative reach. They’ve graced the stages of Coachella, Lollapalooza, and Governors Ball, earning acclaim for their emotionally charged live performances.
With a sound that’s both hypnotic and haunting, Phantogram remains one of the most innovative forces in alternative electronic music.
