Factory 93 presents: Deep Dish (All Night Long) @ Avalon Hollywood (21+)
Let’s meetup for Deep Dish!
Deep Dish: Masters of Progressive House
Deep Dish, the legendary duo composed of Ali “Dubfire” Shirazinia and Sharam Tayebi, have been a defining force in the world of house and electronic music for over two decades. Hailing from Washington, D.C., Deep Dish rose to international prominence in the late ’90s and early 2000s with their distinctive blend of progressive house, deep grooves, and lush melodies.
Their 1998 remix of De’Lacy’s “Hideaway” and the groundbreaking single “Flashdance” featuring Anousheh Khalili catapulted them into the global spotlight. Their debut album, Junk Science (1998), is considered a classic, weaving together diverse styles and earning critical acclaim. Deep Dish’s innovative sound earned them a Grammy Award in 2002 for their remix of Dido’s “Thank You,” and they were nominated for a Grammy for Best Remixed Recording for their remix of Madonna’s “Music.”
Over the years, they’ve headlined major festivals, delivered iconic Essential Mixes for BBC Radio 1, and redefined the live DJ experience. Although both members have had successful solo careers, Deep Dish remains a celebrated name, symbolizing boundary-pushing artistry and timeless dancefloor anthems. Their influence on the evolution of house and progressive music continues to inspire new generations of electronic artists and fans alike.
