Darius: The Parisian Architect of Dreamy Groove
Terence Nguyen, born October 10, 1989 in Paris and known professionally as Darius, is an electronic music producer, DJ, and visual artist heralded for his lush fusion of soul, funk, disco, and French house aesthetics. Since debuting in 2012 with the warmly textured EP Velour, he has carved a signature sound defined by dreamy synths, filtered beats, and refined grooves.
His 2014 Romance EP cemented his reputation—featuring standout tracks like “Hot Hands” (with Darianna Everett) and “Espoir”, both acclaimed for their melodic richness and earned a gold certification in France by 2020 and diamond status by 2022. Darius’s full‑length debut album Utopia (2017) continued that trajectory, combining cosmic soundscapes with soulful vocals like “Lost in the Moment” featuring Wayne Snow, and led to international touring with Cashmere Cat and MØ on their MEØW Tour.
Between 2020 and 2023, he released a conceptual trilogy under the umbrella of OASIS: beginning with OASIS (Prelude) (2021), followed by the album OASIS (2022), and concluding with OASIS (Epilogue) (2023), including notable collaborations like “Equilibrium”, “Apology”, “Feels Right” (feat. Duñe), and “Rise” (with Benny Sings).
With roots in graphic design, Darius personally crafts his visual identity—artwork, videos, stage design—and offers immersive live shows projecting his musical universe in both sight and sound. An integral part of Roche Musique, Darius continues to push the boundaries of French house and disco-infused electronica with unmatched elegance and soul.
