Let’s meetup for Boombox Cartel!
Boombox Cartel: Borderless Bass with Global Impact
Boombox Cartel is the genre-defying music project of Mexican-American producer Americo Garcia, known for fusing trap, future bass, and hip-hop with cinematic sound design. Bursting onto the scene with the explosive hit “B2U” featuring Ian Everson in 2015, Boombox Cartel quickly became a staple on festival mainstages and in the sets of artists like Skrillex and Diplo. The track’s thunderous drop and emotional vocals marked a defining moment in electronic bass music.
In 2017, Boombox Cartel released the “Cartel” EP via Mad Decent, which featured standouts like “Jefe” and “Alamo”, further cementing his reputation for delivering both dancefloor bangers and cinematic soundscapes. He’s since collaborated with artists such as Flosstradamus, MadeinTYO, and NGHTMRE, and released crowd favorites like “Whisper” and “Shadow” featuring Calivania.
Boombox Cartel’s high-energy live sets—blending hip-hop swagger, Latin roots, and EDM intensity—have earned him slots at major festivals like EDC Las Vegas, Lollapalooza, and Coachella—all while his influence continues to rise globally.
With boundary-pushing sounds and a loyal fan base, Boombox Cartel stands at the forefront of modern bass music, proving that music knows no borders.
