TVBOO: Southern Bass Dynamo
Mitch Draper—better known as TVBOO (pronounced “taboo”)—is a powerhouse in the American dubstep scene. Hailing from Jackson, Mississippi, he’s become renowned for his explosive basslines, distorted synths, and electric stage presence. Since emerging on labels like WAKAAN, his singles “Wook Worm,” “Skrawberries,” “Bass Music,” “Break It Down,” “Got Dat,” and “Double Vision (TVBOO Remix)” have cultivated a fervent fanbase and earned regular rotation on major Spotify bass playlists.
TVBOO is also recognized for high-energy collaborations—most notably “Bass Music” with GRiZ, which layers GRiZ’s signature saxophone over TVBOO’s thunderous drops. He’s remixed heavyweights like RL Grime and LUZCID, showcasing his sound-design chops and earning acclaim across the bass community.
A dynamic performer, TVBOO has torn through major festivals like Moonrise, Lightning in a Bottle, Freaky Deaky Texas, Sunset Music Festival, Buku, and even Red Rocks Amphitheatre, consistently delivering “Category 5 hurricane surge” sets. Offstage, he hosts the popular podcast “TVLKS with TVBOO,” a weekly dose of southern wit and EDM industry insight that’s become a cult favorite
