DJ Isaac, born Roel Schutrups, is widely recognized as one of the founding fathers of the hardstyle genre. Hailing from the Netherlands, he began his journey in the early ’90s, quickly establishing himself as a powerhouse in the harder styles of dance music. With a career spanning over two decades, DJ Isaac has played a pivotal role in shaping the hardstyle scene, pushing boundaries with his energetic and melodic sound.
His iconic tracks like “Bitches,” “Burn,” and “Let There Be Hardstyle” have become staples in festivals and clubs around the world. He’s also known for major collaborations with artists like D-Block & S-te-Fan and Brennan Heart, as well as official remixes for artists including Dash Berlin and Scooter. Isaac’s influence extends to major festival stages including Defqon.1, Qlimax, Decibel Outdoor, and Tomorrowland, where his performances are known for their raw intensity and crowd connection.
Beyond producing hits, DJ Isaac has hosted his own long-running podcast Isaac’s Hardstyle Sessions, showcasing the latest in the genre and helping to spotlight emerging talent. A trailblazer, tastemaker, and true legend in the scene, DJ Isaac continues to inspire and elevate hardstyle on a global scale.
