Yotto: Melodic House Storyteller from Helsinki
Hailing from Helsinki, Finland, Yotto—real name Otto Yliperttula—has cultivated a refined reputation in the world of melodic house and techno. After drawing attention with early EPs on the acclaimed Anjunadeep label, his 2015 debut release (the “Memento / Azzurro” EP) set the tone for his atmospheric yet driving productions.
Yotto became known for standout tracks such as “The Owls”, which earned the coveted BBC Radio 1 “Essential New Tune” accolade, and his 2018 debut album Hyperfall showcased his ability to blend moody introspection with dance-floor potency. His music has garnered support from tastemakers like Pete Tong, with multiple Essential New Tune selections, and he later launched his own label, Odd One Out, to foster his vision and that of like-minded artists.
Yotto’s sound is marked by emotional peaks, melodic clarity and thoughtful club energy. From solo tours to festival appearances, he has established himself as a prominent figure in modern house music—bridging introspective songwriting and powerful groove with subtlety and depth.
