Yellow Claw: Pioneers of Global Bass & Hard Dance
Yellow Claw is a Dutch electronic duo consisting of Jim Aasgier and Nils Rondhuis, internationally recognized for their explosive blend of trap, hard dance, hip-hop, and bass music. Rising from Amsterdam’s club scene, they broke into the global spotlight with high-energy tracks such as “Shotgun,” “Krokobil,” and “Till It Hurts,” the latter becoming a massive international hit with hundreds of millions of streams.
They further cemented their status with crossover successes like “DJ Turn It Up,” “Crash This Party,” and “Love & War,” bridging underground energy with mainstream appeal. Yellow Claw’s debut album Blood for Mercy (2015) and follow-up Los Amsterdam (2017) showcased their genre-defying sound and featured collaborations with artists including Ty Dolla $ign, Lil Debbie, and DJ Snake.
The duo’s impact has been recognized with platinum and gold certifications, chart-topping singles across Europe, and consistent rankings in DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs, where they have remained a fixture for years. They are also founders of the influential label Barong Family, which has helped launch and support the careers of numerous bass and hard dance artists.
Known for their intense live performances, Yellow Claw has headlined major festivals such as Tomorrowland, Ultra Music Festival, and EDC, solidifying their legacy as leaders of global bass culture.
