Wüki: The Bass Innovator

Kris Barman (born December 20, 1984), better known as Wuki, is a Denver-based producer and DJ celebrated for his electrifying fusion of electro, booty-bass, breaks, and house music. Formerly a guitarist and keyboardist in the electronic rock band Innerpartysystem, he launched his solo career in 2012, debuting with the EP Something for Everyone Vol. 1 and quickly earning acclaim for tracks like “Diwali,” “Jungle Funk,” and “Bullseye” (feat. Valentino Khan).

Wuki’s remix of Miley Cyrus’s “Mother’s Daughter” received a 2020 Grammy nomination in the category Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical—a major milestone in his career. His debut studio album, WukiWorld, was released in March 2021 via HARD Recs. The record features bold collaborations on tracks like “Love 2.0,” “Chicken Wang” (with Diplo and Snappy Jit), “Bad Girl Drumma” (with Juvenile), “Birdz” (with Smokepurpp), and the heartfelt closer “Tell The World About Me” dedicated to his late mother.

Track “Sunshine (My Girl)” (2023) became a standout hit, amassing over 80 million streams and earning support from major artists such as Fisher, Tiësto, Armin van Buuren, and Martin Garrix. His 2024 single “Rave Day (Happy)”—a nostalgic rave anthem—garnered backing from industry heavyweights like Diplo and Afrojack.

Wuki’s “Beats I Can’t Release” series has gone viral on TikTok and Audius, fueling his reputation as a remix innovator and cult favorite. Live devotees rave about his sets—Reddit users describe his drops as “unique” and “smack,” with fans insisting he brings the party wherever he plays.

With a Grammy nod, landmark album, viral hits, and high-octane performances, Wuki remains a dynamic force redefining club music through wit, originality, and relentless bass energy.
