Mutate presents: Kayzo with Hhunter @ Nova SD (21+)
Let’s meetup for Kayzo with Hhunter!
Kayzo: Bridging Bass Music & Rock Rebellion
Kayzo is an American DJ, producer, and songwriter known for fusing dubstep, hardstyle, trap, and rock into a high-octane hybrid sound. Emerging from the Los Angeles electronic scene, Kayzo quickly distinguished himself with genre-defying productions and an aggressive live presence that blurs the line between rave and rock show.
He first gained major attention after winning the 2012 Insomniac Discovery Project, which launched his career onto larger festival stages. Breakout tracks like “Overload,” “Whistle Wars,” “This Time,” and “Alone” (with Our Last Night) helped define his signature blend of heavy drops and live-instrument energy. His albums Overload, Unleashed, and New Breed showcased collaborations with artists spanning electronic and alternative rock, reinforcing his crossover appeal.
Kayzo has performed at premier festivals including EDC Las Vegas, Ultra Music Festival, and Electric Zoo, earning a reputation for chaotic, mosh-pit–driven sets. His releases have charted on Billboard’s Dance/Electronic rankings and accumulated hundreds of millions of streams.
By fearlessly merging bass music with punk and metal influences, Kayzo has carved out a distinct lane—building a loyal fanbase drawn to his rebellious energy and boundary-pushing sound.
HHUNTER: Chicago’s Industrial Techno Vanguard
Hailing from Chicago, Hhunter is a self-taught DJ and producer who’s rapidly carved out a reputation as one of America’s most exciting new voices in industrial techno. His sound blends roaring kick drums, aggressive textures and trance-influenced melodies—traits born from late-night escapades in Chicago’s underground party scene.
The November 2024 release of his debut single “Go Get Your Lover” via HE.SHE.THEY. Records marked a pivotal moment in his rise. The track fuses Euro-trance hooks with pounding techno drive, capturing his “go big or go home” ethos and earning early support from dance music publications as a standout release. Earlier works such as “Is That Love / Sweaty (in da Club)” (2023) and “Mental Illinois” (2025) further showcase his versatility—moving between aggressive industrial beats and more club-oriented rhythms.
Beyond the studio, Hhunter has built his brand through his monthly party series On The HHUNT in Chicago, cultivating a loyal community and bringing driving techno sets to venues like Radius and Avant Gardner. Though still early in his career, Hhunter’s relentless output, growing festival presence, and bold sonic identity place him among techno’s next wave of innovators.
