Trivecta: The Folk‑Bass Visionary of Melodic Bass
Trivecta (Sam Dobkin), hailing from Tampa, Florida, is a melodic bass and dubstep producer celebrated for inventing his “folk‑bass” style—a fusion of indie folk emotion, guitar, and cinematic sound design that has reshaped the melodic bass landscape.
He debuted in 2014 on Monstercat with “One Night Only” featuring Yohamna Solange, soon followed by hits like “Believe,” “Evaporate,” “Drift Away,” “The Vale,” and “Axis.” His 2018 collaboration “Island” with Seven Lions, Wooli & Nevve landed at #20 on Billboard’s Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales chart.
In 2020, his breakout EP Everyday on Ophelia Records showcased his genre versatility, with fans praising standout track “Wasteland” as “such a bop … EP of the year.” Two years later, his debut album The Way Back Up (2022) solidified his signature sound—platforming singles like “Sail Away,” “Open Road,” “Back to the Start”—and earning acclaim from critics and Redditors calling it “album of the year.”
His follow-up album Find My Way (2024) expanded into melodic house while maintaining his emotional depth, with tracks such as “Light in the Dark,” “Alaska,” and “All That Ends Well” becoming fan favorites.
Known for touring with Illenium, Seven Lions, Wooli, and others, Trivecta continues breaking molds—spread across labels like Monstercat, Ophelia, Anjunabeats, and Warner—crafting music that is at once emotional, complex, and deeply resonant.
