Elephante, the stage name of Tim Wu, is a DJ/producer renowned for his captivating blend of melodic dance music. Emerging from Ann Arbor, Michigan, Elephante’s journey began with classical piano training and a deep passion for songwriting, which later evolved into a thriving career in electronic music.
Tim Wu adopted the moniker “Elephante” as a nod to the “elephant in the room” — his desire to leave behind a corporate career and pursue music full-time. This bold move paid off with the release of his debut EP, “I Am the Elephante,” in 2016. The EP, featuring standout tracks like “Closer” and “Catching On,” showcased his unique sound that fuses progressive house, pop, and indie elements, earning critical acclaim and amassing millions of streams.
Elephante’s follow-up EP, “Glass Mansion,” further cemented his reputation, with hits like “The In Between” and “Have It All” resonating with a global audience. Known for his emotive lyrics, soaring melodies, and festival-ready anthems, Elephante has garnered support from industry giants such as Kaskade, Zedd, and The Chainsmokers.
In addition to his studio success, Elephante’s electrifying live performances have graced major festivals like EDC, Lollapalooza, and Ultra Music Festival. His dynamic sets, characterized by high energy and seamless genre-blending, have captivated audiences worldwide.
