Lil Texas is an American DJ and producer known for pushing electronic dance music to its absolute limits. Born Samuel Barry, he emerged from Dallas, Texas before relocating to Los Angeles, where he became a leading force in hardcore, frenchcore, and uptempo EDM. Blending influences from jazz and classical training with relentless energy, Lil Texas helped pioneer the “Texcore” movement—an extreme, high-BPM style often exceeding 200 beats per minute.
He first gained widespread attention with his breakout track “I Am Excited,” a defining release that introduced his signature sound and earned support from major electronic acts like Virtual Self, Pendulum, and Kill The Noise. Other notable tracks include “Rock The Beat,” “Shaba,” and “My DJ,” along with high-profile remixes such as his contribution to Lady Gaga and Elton John’s “Sine From Above.”
