Embarking on her techno odyssey at the age of 16, Lindsey Herbert has evolved into a luminary of the underground music scene, calling the desert landscape of Phoenix, Arizona, her base. Her sonic journey, characterized by dark, deep textures, psychedelic nuances, and ethereal melodies, has not only shaped her identity as a DJ but has also transcended into her productions.
A stalwart of San Francisco’s thriving techno community, Lindsey has garnered recognition far beyond her city’s borders. Renowned for her signature sets, she crafts musical odysseys that traverse diverse soundscapes. This unique approach has propelled her to international stages, sharing the limelight with top-tier DJs and leaving audiences captivated.
Having earned esteemed residencies with Robot Ears in San Francisco for six years, Lindsey’s influence extends globally. She joined the ranks of Direct to Earth in SF, and in 2016, became a distinguished member of the Berlin-based agency, Point Collective. Her performances have resonated in techno hotspots like Detroit, Chicago, Athens, Istanbul, and Germany, including a memorable debut at Tresor Berlin and Gate Club in Batumi, Georgia.
Venturing into production, Lindsey’s remix of Martyn Päsch’s ‘Sacred’ on KVLTÖ Records marked her debut in September 2018. Subsequent releases, including her solo EP on Ascetic Limited, showcase her prowess in crafting techno landscapes that are both evocative and hypnotic. As she continues to shape the sonic realms with upcoming releases on Planet X, Immaterial Archives, and beyond, Lindsey Herbert stands as a techno alchemist, seamlessly blending the mystical with the industrial.
