Lavern: The Emotive House Phenom
Laurens Elshof, better known by his stage name Lavern, is a Dutch producer and DJ who’s rapidly ascended from studying law in the Netherlands to dominating the global house music scene. Born and raised in a small village near Amsterdam, he began producing music at age 13, inspired by EDM icons like Avicii and Armin van Buuren.
In 2021, Lavern made his breakthrough with the viral single “Move Me”, which garnered over 50 million streams and sparked more than 750,000 Instagram Reels. He followed that success with “Hold Me,” a defining “stutter house” track that reached 100 million streams within seven months, buoyed by massive TikTok and Instagram support.
Lavern’s distinctive sound—an emotional blend of chopped vocals, warm melodies, and rhythmic energy—has amassed him over 7.7 million monthly Spotify listeners and more than 210 million total streams. His top tracks include “Sunshine,” “Higher Power,” “All I Want Is You,” “Human,” and his catchy remix of “La Leçon Particulière.”
Beyond streaming, Lavern has performed extensively across the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and Europe—gracing venues like Brooklyn Mirage, Spybar, Tomorrowland, and Ushuaïa Ibiza. In 2025, he marked a major career milestone by securing a Las Vegas residency with TAO Group and landing the mainstage spot at EDC Las Vegas.
