Let’s meetup for Hugel!
HUGEL: Latin-House Alchemist from Marseille
Florent Hugel—known by his stage name Huge (stylized in all caps)—is a French DJ and producer born December 4, 1987, in Marseille, France. He began spinning at age 16, shaped by the eclectic sounds of his Mediterranean upbringing and electronic icons like Daft Punk, Carl Cox, and Laurent Garnier.
Hugel’s breakthrough came in 2017 with “I Believe I’m Fine,” a gold-certified collaboration with Robin Schulz. The following year, his remix of “Bella Ciao” became a global phenomenon—earning platinum status in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland and racking up over 280 million streams.
Continuing to pioneer the Latin house sound, HUGEL released “Morenita” in 2021—another dancefloor staple that solidified his reputation as a genre-shaping producer. His 2024 smash “I Adore You”—a collaboration with Topic, Arash, and vocalist Daecolm—became a global hit, topping charts, earning gold and platinum certifications, and marking a new high in his career.
Hugel has performed at major festivals like Tomorrowland, EDC Las Vegas, Lollapalooza, and holds residencies at iconic Ibiza clubs including Ushuaïa and Pacha. In 2024, he also extended his global publishing deal with BMG, highlighting his growing stature in the electronic music world.
With over a billion streams and gold/platinum-certified hits, Hugel continues to define a new wave of Latin-infused house music—balancing rhythmic depth with global appeal.
