Rudimental: The Sound of UK Drums & Soul
Rudimental emerged from East London in 2010 as a dynamic four-piece production collective comprised of Piers Aggett, Kesi Dryden, Amir Amor and Leon “Locksmith” Rolle. Drawing from the energy of pirate-radio, garage, soul, hip hop and drum & bass, they mastered a boundary-breaking sound that brought acoustic brass, live vocals and dancefloor readiness together.
Their breakthrough came in 2012 with the single Feel the Love (feat. John Newman), which debuted at No. 1 on the UK Singles Chart. The following year they scored another UK No. 1 with Waiting All Night (feat. Ella Eyre), winning the BRIT Award for British Single of the Year. Their debut album Home (2013) entered the UK Albums Chart at No. 1 and later went platinum, establishing them as heavyweights in UK dance music.
Over time Rudimental continued to evolve, delivering hits like These Days (feat. Jess Glynne, Macklemore & Dan Caplen), which also topped the UK chart and expanded their global reach. They’ve sold over 25 million singles and 3 million albums worldwide, amassed more than 5 billion streams, and earned a string of accolades including MOBO and BRIT awards.
Today Rudimental remain a standout force: equal parts festival kinetic, studio innovators and genre-benders. Their live shows bring together horns, percussion and electronica—proof that the heart of UK dance still beats loud and proud.
