Chus & Ceballos: Architects of the “Iberican Sound”
DJ Chus and Pablo Ceballos — better known as Chus & Ceballos — are a pioneering Spanish DJ/producer duo whose sound helped define a sub-genre of house music known as the “Iberican Sound.” The pair began collaborating in the early 2000s, rooted in Madrid’s club scene.
In 2001, they co-founded their own label Stereo Productions, giving them a platform to release their tribal- and percussive-house tracks to a worldwide audience. Their sound — a warm fusion of tribal rhythms, deep grooves, and tech-house energy — resonated globally. Among their standout productions are “Afrika,” “Iberican Sound,” “Echoes from Doruma,” and “In Stereo,” which cemented their style as influential across the European club circuit.
Chus & Ceballos have earned widespread respect not only for originals but for remixes and reworks for major artists. Their remix credits include versions for globally recognized names, underlining their versatility and reach.
On the accolades front, they were awarded Best Tribal & Progressive DJ by a leading Spanish dance-music magazine in 2007, and have appeared on the global list of top DJs by DJ Mag.
Through decades of consistent output, globe-trotting DJ sets, and unwavering commitment to their signature sound, Chus & Ceballos remain foundational figures in global house music — their “Iberican Sound” continues to influence producers and uplift dance floors worldwide.
