Katseye: Global Pop’s New-Era Powerhouse
HYBE and Geffen Records’s girl-group experiment, Katseye, is a six-member global pop act formed via the 2023 talent competition The Debut: Dream Academy. Their international lineup—featuring members from the U.S., Philippines, Korea, Switzerland/Ghana, and more—reflects their ambition to blend K-pop sensibilities with global pop reach.
They officially debuted in August 2024 with the EP SIS (Soft Is Strong), anchored by pre-release singles like “Touch” and “Debut”. Their major breakout came in 2025 with “Gnarly”, the lead single from their second project, Beautiful Chaos. The track entered the Billboard Hot 100 and the UK Singles Chart—marking their first global chart entries.
Shortly after, they released the Latin-inflected single “Gabriela”, which climbed various national charts and reached #16 on the Billboard Global 200—becoming their highest-charting single to date.
Their rapid ascent has been acknowledged within the industry: in 2025, the group received Grammy nominations for Best New Artist and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. Meanwhile, their Beautiful Chaos EP landed at #4 on the Billboard 200—a significant feat for a group so early in their career.
Katseye’s music blends dance-pop, R&B, hyperpop, and Latin-inspired rhythms, delivered through polished vocals, tight choreography, and global production. With a strong debut, chart success, award nominations, and a growing worldwide fanbase, they position themselves as one of the leading “next-gen” pop acts in the mid-2020s.
