Angerfist: The Masked Monarch of Hardcore
Danny Masseling, better known as Angerfist, is a pioneering Dutch hardcore producer and DJ whose aggressive, high-speed sound helped define the modern gabber movement. Born on June 20, 1981, in Almere, Netherlands, Angerfist launched his career in 2001 after sending a demo to DJ Buzz Fuzz, and quickly made waves in the hardcore scene.
Wearing his signature white hockey mask and hoodie, Angerfist is known for blistering tracks like “Criminally Insane”, “Raise Your Fist”, “Riotstarter”, and “Dance With The Wolves.” One of his career-defining moments came in 2005 when he produced the anthem “The World Will Shiver” for the Masters of Hardcore festival.
Across his prolific discography, Angerfist has released several albums — including Pissin’ Razorbladez (2006), Mutilate (2008), Retaliate (2011), The Deadfaced Dimension (2014), and Creed of Chaos (2017).
He’s been widely recognized for his influence in the hard dance world, becoming the highest-ranked hardcore artist on the DJ Mag Top 100 multiple times, even earning the title of World’s No. 1 Hard DJ. On stage, he’s often joined by MC Prozac, delivering electric performances at massive events like Defqon.1, Sensation Black, and Mysteryland.
A relentless innovator, Angerfist continues to push hardcore’s boundaries, staying true to his masked persona while commanding global stages with raw power and unbridled intensity.
