Showtek: From Hardstyle Roots to Global EDM Titans
Showtek is the Dutch electronic music duo formed by brothers Wouter Janssen (born August 20, 1982) and Sjoerd Janssen (born April 6, 1984) from Eindhoven, Netherlands. Since their beginnings in 2001, they’ve evolved from hardstyle and techno producers into versatile artists who’ve made major waves in EDM, house, and big-room.
In their early years, Showtek built their reputation with hardstyle anthems like “FTS”, “World Is Mine” and “The Colours of the Harder Styles.” As EDM exploded globally, they crossed over with tracks like “Cannonball” (with Justin Prime) and “Booyah” featuring We Are Loud! and Sonny Wilson, which charted highly in Europe. In 2014, their collaboration “Bad” with David Guetta and VASSY became one of their biggest mainstream hits.
Showtek have received many accolades: they founded their own label Skink Records in 2013. In the hard dance and hardstyle scenes, they earned awards like “Best Track” (2008 & 2009), “Best DJs” in Hard Dance Awards, and recognition on Beatport as Best Selling Track. They’ve also been high on DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs list—ranking #17 in 2014.
In recent years, Showtek has returned to their roots with the “360 Blue” album (2024), a record emphasizing hardstyle, and they’ve been performing hardstyle-only sets again, including at Qlimax. With a catalog spanning hardstyle, house, and EDM crossovers, Showtek remain influential both in underground scenes and mainstream stages.

Voted as one of the top clubs in the world by DJ Mag, Time features state-of-the-art production, two beautiful full-service bars, and an immersive lighting system — including a 20′ x 30′ LED wall — accompanying a 5,000 programmable sphere chandelier overlooking the dance floor. The majority events are presented by Insomniac Events, alongside their family of brands: Basscon, Bassrush, Day Trip, Dreamstate, Factory 93, Interstellar, Lost In Dreams and Night Trip.
