Seven Lions: Master of Melodic Bass
Seven Lions (born Jeff Montalvo) is an American DJ and producer celebrated for pioneering a unique blend of melodic dubstep, trance, and bass music. With a sound that fuses emotional storytelling and powerful drops, he has become one of the most influential figures in modern electronic music.
His breakthrough came in 2012 with his official remix of Above & Beyond’s “You Got to Go,” which quickly went viral and earned widespread acclaim. Since then, he has released fan-favorite tracks such as “Island” (with Trivecta and Wooli feat. Nevve), “Rush Over Me” (with Illenium & Said The Sky feat. Haliene), “Freesol,” and “First Time” (with Slander & Dabin). His emotionally charged productions have earned tens of millions of streams and a fiercely loyal fanbase.
Seven Lions founded his own label, Ophelia Records, which has become a hub for melodic bass and home to artists like Trivecta, Jason Ross, and Wooli. His work has received support from tastemakers across the industry and earned consistent recognition in the Billboard Dance charts.
