Let’s meetup for Deorro!
Deorro: Bridging EDM & Latin Pop
Erick Orrosquieta (born August 30, 1991), better known as Deorro, is a Mexican‑American DJ, producer, and label owner from Los Angeles. Emerging from teenage SoundCloud uploads and local gigs, he burst onto the global scene in 2013 with “Yee,” a Melbourne‑bounce anthem that charted across Europe.
His 2014 smash “Five Hours” marked a breakthrough—hitting #8 on France’s SNEP chart, topping Billboard’s Dance Airplay, and landing him at #19 on DJ Mag’s Top 100—the highest new entry that year. He followed it up with “Five More Hours” featuring Chris Brown, earning 19 global certifications and 330 million Spotify streams.
Deorro’s 2016 Latin‑infused single “Bailar” (feat. Elvis Crespo, later with Pitbull) became an 8× Platinum global hit and garnered Latin Billboard’s Tropical Song of the Year. He also earned Best Latin American DJ at EMPO Awards for “Perdóname” and received a Latin Grammy nomination in 2025 for Best Latin Electronic Music Performance with “Bambole.”
His 2017 full-length Good Evening topped Apple Music dance charts in multiple countries, followed in 2022 by Spanish-language LP ORRO, showcasing his role in merging Latin and electronic dance music. With residencies in Las Vegas, festival stages at Coachella and Tomorrowland, and his PandaFunk imprint spotlighting emerging artists, Deorro remains a genre-bending innovator, blending big-room energy with Latin rhythms.
