Joel Corry: From Reality Star to Dancefloor Dynamite
Joel Corry (born June 10, 1989, in Newcastle upon Tyne, England) is a British DJ, producer, and former reality TV personality whose rise in electronic music has been nothing short of explosive. After early years on MTV’s Geordie Shore, Corry made his musical breakthrough in 2019 with the UK Top 10 hit “Sorry”, which also broke the record for most Shazamed track in a single day.
A year later, his collaboration with MNEK, “Head & Heart,” became a massive success—spending six consecutive weeks at #1 on the UK Singles Chart and earning RIAA Platinum status, as well as accumulating over 1 billion Spotify streams. The track also earned nominations for Song of the Year at the 2021 Brit Awards and secured two APRA Music Award wins for Most Performed Dance/Electronic Work and Most Performed Australian Work.
Following that, Corry delivered more chart-toppers, including “Bed” (with RAYE and David Guetta), certified Platinum in the UK, and “Out Out” (with Jax Jones, featuring Charli XCX and Saweetie), which reached #6 on the UK Singles Chart.

Within just a few years of his 2020 debut single “Dreams,” he released over 50 tracks and launched his own imprint, Atom Bomb, along with a publishing deal with Ultra Music.
His sound—melding nostalgic rave and Balearic warmth with futuristic tech-house—has landed him support from industry heavyweights like Alesso, Green Velvet, Roger Sanchez, Sonny Fodera, and Gorgon City. With over 100 releases to date and 100 million+ Spotify streams, Chapter & Verse has consistently charted in Beatport’s Top 100, regularly placing in the Top 20.
Known for standout tracks like “Good For You,” “Carry Out,” and “Lights Go Out,” he continues to push creative boundaries through releases on tastemaker labels including Repopulate Mars, Atlantic, Big Beat, Island, Thrive, and Ultra Records.
