Galantis: Crafting Emotional EDM Anthems with Pop Cinematic Flair
Galantis is a Swedish electronic music duo formed by Christian “Bloodshy” Karlsson (formerly of Miike Snow) and Linus Eklöw (Style of Eye). Known for blending melodic songwriting with dance-pop sensibilities, they carved a unique space in EDM by prioritizing vocals and chord-driven structure over club beats.
Their breakthrough single, “Runaway (U & I)” (released October 5, 2014), became their signature hit—reaching #4 in the UK and Australia, eventually earning a double platinum certification from the BPI, and surpassing 1 billion Spotify streams as of mid‑2025. That track earned them a Grammy nomination for Best Dance Recording at the 58th Grammy Awards.
Their debut album Pharmacy (2015) featured major singles like “You,” “Gold Dust,” and the disco‑flavored “Peanut Butter Jelly” which won accolades at the International Dance Music Awards for Best Electro/Progressive House Track and Best Music Video.
