Said the Sky: Melodic Emotion Architect of Future Bass
Trevor Christensen (born May 12, 1993), professionally known as Said the Sky, is an American electronic music producer, pianist, and DJ from Denver, Colorado. Combining heartfelt composition with emotive production, he’s become a defining voice in melodic dubstep, future bass, and emotional dance music.
His debut EP Faith launched in 2014 and included standout singles like “Disciple,” “Everything,” and “Falling In” — tracks that quickly garnered attention for blending piano with neuro bass textures. He achieved widespread acclaim in 2016 with the collaboration “Rush Over Me” alongside Illenium and Seven Lions featuring Haliene, charting on Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs. In 2019, his breakout single “Potions” with Slander featuring JT Roach debuted on Monstercat and became a fan favorite anthem across the melodic bass scene.
His debut album Wide‑Eyed (2018) and sophomore LP Sentiment (2022) collected critical praise and expanded his repertoire with tracks like “All I Got,” “Show & Tell,” “Walk Me Home”, and “All Falls Down” with William Black, each celebrated for their soaring hooks and emotional resonance. In 2017 he was awarded Best Dance/Electronic Album at the Electronic Music Awards for Liftoff.
Reddit fans often praise his work for its emotional power—one wrote about a new single as “such a bop … literally put me in tears on my way to work this morning.” With festival stages like Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, and EDC Las Vegas on his résumé, and collaborations with icons such as Illenium, Seven Lions, and Slander, Said the Sky continues to elevate melodic bass with heartfelt songwriting and immersive live performances.
