DJ Hanzel is the tongue‑in‑cheek deep-house persona adopted by American EDM star Dillon Francis (born October 5, 1987 in Los Angeles). Best known for satirizing the scene with over‑the‑top snobbery and ironic commentary, Hanzel’s sets and mixes are comedic performances that parody deep‑house culture.
Although not a chart-pusher himself, Hanzel’s “One Deeper” mixes—such as his BBC Radio 1 session for Annie Nightingale—have earned cult viral status online. DJ Hanzel remains a beloved alter ego deeply embedded in Dillon Francis’s playful brand and underground DJ lore.
