Kompany: Architects of Earth‑Shattering Bass
Kompany, born Kyle Hagberg on October 3, 1991 in Los Angeles, is a force in modern dubstep and riddim known for thunderous production and meticulous sound design. A former drummer turned sound designer at Cymatics.fm and graduate of Icon Collective, he honed his craft to deliver seismic drops and industrial-grade bass textures.
Kompany first gained traction around 2018 with festival anthems like “Thicc Boi” (with Wooli), “Rapture”, and “Purge”, tracks that became staples in heavy bass playlists and rave sets around the world. In May 2019, he dropped the single “Movement” via Never Say Die Records – hailed as a “groundbreaking addition” to his catalogue by critics for its multi-layered bass and relentless energy.
In partnership with Slander, his 2019 track “Broken” featuring Fknsyd amplified his reputation in the bass music community and further showcased his collaborative strength. He broadened his sound in 2020 with the melodic yet powerful “Feel It All”, earning praise for balancing emotion and headbang-worthy drops. Later, EPs like Untouchable (2021) featured versatile tracks such as “Just Like You” (feat. KC), “Cut Throat”, “Thermos” and the title track, supporting his 30‑plus‑date Untouchable tour.
With over 92 million total streams and around 300K monthly listeners, Kompany continues headlining festivals like Lost Lands and collaborating with titans including Excision, Slander, Subtronics, and Sullivan King. His reputation as bass architecture’s trailblazer only grows stronger.
