Let’s meetup for W&W!
W&W: Masters of Mainstage Festival Anthems
W&W are a Dutch DJ and production duo consisting of Willem van Hanegem and Ward van der Harst. Formed in 2007, they initially gained recognition in the trance scene before evolving into one of electronic dance music’s leading big-room acts. Their signature sound combines soaring trance melodies, powerful synths, pounding basslines, and explosive drops designed for massive festival crowds.
The duo achieved their commercial breakthrough with “Bigfoot” in 2014, a high-energy anthem that became a mainstage favorite worldwide. Other standout tracks include “Thunder” with Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, “Rave After Rave,” “The One,” “God Is a Girl,” and “Live the Night” with Hardwell and Lil Jon. Their collaboration “Arcade” with Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike became another major festival hit, while “Thank You (Not So Bad)” with Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Tiësto, and Dido brought renewed international attention to the group in 2023.
W&W have earned significant industry recognition, consistently ranking among DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs and reaching No. 13 in 2016. They have also received International Dance Music Award nominations for Best Trance Track and Best DJ categories.
Beyond performing at major festivals including Tomorrowland, Ultra Music Festival, EDC, and Creamfields, the duo founded Rave Culture, a record label championing high-energy electronic music. Through their productions and electrifying performances, W&W remain influential forces in global festival culture.
