Tynan: Pushing the Boundaries of Bass Music
Tynan, the stage name of Oklahoma City producer Kevin Hickey, is a prominent force in modern bass music, known for pushing the boundaries of dubstep, trap and experimental electronic music. Inspired by Skrillex, Hickey began producing music as a teenager and built an international following through SoundCloud releases, remixes and inventive original productions.
TYNAN’s breakthrough catalog includes “Diggid,” an early fan favorite released through Mad Decent, and “Titan,” his collaboration with Oski. Other notable tracks include “Extraterrestrial,” “Between the Lines,” “Fool’s Gold,” “Rockin,” and “Earthquake,” his collaboration with Kompany and Flux Pavilion. His music has appeared on influential labels including Monstercat, Never Say Die, Mad Decent, Disciple and OWSLA.
In February 2026, Tynan released his debut album, TYNAN TIME, a 15-track project showcasing his evolving blend of bass, trap and dubstep. The album includes “his name is,” which became the centerpiece of a SoundCloud remix contest. The winning WHZLY remix received an official release and recognition as SoundCloud’s Track of the Day.
Tynan has performed at major bass-music festivals including Lost Lands, Bass Canyon and Wakaan. His extensive catalog, festival appearances and SoundCloud recognition underscore his influence within contemporary bass music.
