Clawz: A Rising Force in Hard Techno
Clawz, the stage name of Anna Vaughan, is a Los Angeles-based DJ and producer making an impact in the global hard-techno and hard-rave scene. Classically trained with more than a decade of piano experience, Vaughan discovered her passion for electronic music while traveling in Berlin, where she was inspired by leading techno artists and the intensity of the European rave scene. She launched the Clawz project in 2020 and quickly established herself in Los Angeles’ underground through street-shuffle sessions, desert raves and club events.
Her sound combines hard techno, acid, industrial, hard-psy, rawstyle and gabber, driven by pounding four-on-the-floor rhythms and her signature 303 synthesizer. Notable releases include “Take Control,” “Abduction,” “Hover Boots,” “Super NinTechno,” “TekNo Sh_t,” “Anything For You” and “Darkness Rises (High-Octane Cut).” Her music has appeared on labels including Group Chat, Audiorotica and SXTCY Records, while artists such as TRYM, Nico Moreno and KARAH have supported her work.
Clawz has performed at major events and festivals including EDC Las Vegas, Verknipt, Wasteland and Beyond Wonderland, as well as Escape Halloween and Gold Rush Festival. Her growing festival profile and support from prominent techno DJs mark important milestones in her career.
Dr Donk: The Doctor of Uptempo Hardcore
Dr Donk is a Cologne-based DJ and producer who has emerged as a distinctive force in the hard-dance and uptempo hardcore scene. Known for his signature doctor persona and explosive performances, he blends uptempo, rawtempo, zaag, dubstep and drum & bass into a sound he has dubbed “Zaagstep.” His music is characterized by punishing kicks, heavy basslines and an experimental approach that has helped set him apart in the modern hardcore scene.
Among Dr Donk’s best-known tracks are “New Drug,” his collaboration with Noiseflow that became an important early release in the Deutscher Krach movement, as well as “KISS KISS” with Sickmode and GPF, “Bubblegum” with Yoshiko, “Datenschutz” with Lil Texas, “Drown” with Riot Shift, and “Let Me See You Bounce.” His catalog also includes collaborations with GPF, N-Vitral, Bombsquad and other prominent hard-dance artists.
Dr Donk has performed at major events including Tomorrowland, Defqon.1 and Rampage, while also selling out an All Night Long headline show at Cologne’s Bootshaus. In 2024, he launched Clinic Recordings in collaboration with Kontor Records, further establishing his presence within the hard-dance community.
